ABOUT MISCARRIAGE SUPPORT NORTHERN IRELANDabout our organisation

Miscarriage Support Northern Ireland has been founded due to the lack of support and recognition available here for women and men who have experienced miscarriage.

My name is Roisin and after my first miscarriage – the only one I ever thought I would have – I made up my mind to try and help others who have also experienced miscarriage.
I felt that I could attempt to turn my horrific, heartbreaking loss to some good through supporting others.
A second miscarriage highlighted further the lack of support and gaps in medical treatment and magnified the feelings of grief and emptiness I felt and feel.
This encouraged me to complete the foundation of Miscarriage Support.

The main aim of Miscarriage Support Northern Ireland is to provide support to others who have experienced the trauma of miscarriage through listening, acceptance and acknowledgement of  their loss. Alongside this it is hoped that awareness of miscarriage in society is increased with the goal of changing current medical care and possibly raising funds for further research into miscarriage.
